I'm Busy.

I'm Busy. The only reason I can think of why I am not writing often anymore is because I am busy, and my creative mentality is preoccupied by a lot of stuff--studies, chores, stuff, more stuff...

I now go to school and I always have tons of homework, that's another reason.

But since I found free time--or free time found me--and I miss writing; here I am, writing something about what I have been up to.

Reading . . .
I have read three books since new year came: Fablehaven Book IILiesl & Po (I super recommend it!) and my most recent read, The Dopple Ganger Chronicles Book III--I've anticipated for DG Chronicles III for quite some time and I'm glad it didn't disappoint!
Listening . . .
There's this one song I heard from idol . . . it's called Stars!

Eating . . .
Anything on the fridge, and occasionally: McDonald's fries with extra salt (My favorite!)

Wanting . . .
A lot! I want an iPad mini, flashes, backdrops, a camera with an 85mm lens--basically, photography studio stuff! I am kinda enjoying studio photography more than nature, etc . . .
I will be posting--I don't know when--an article about me not using the AutoMode!
Anticipating . . .
I am anticipating for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire official trailer! Also . . . I am anticipating for the movie itself!

Trying . . .
a lot! I am trying to perfect my camera's settings--aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc . . . I'm kind of getting it but it would take me minutes!

Plans . . .
The teacher asked me and the other students to write an essay about EDSA I and I'm planning to post it here! Also, as I have written earlier, I will be posting an article about me not using the AutoMode anymore. And lastly, I'll write My Thoughts about the Dopple Ganger Chronicles III: The Great Mogul Diamond!

I'm glad because the silence on this little kingdom has been broken! Good bye for now!

Movie Review: The Hunger Games

The Good: Everything is so nice! The casting, the place where they shot the games, the Capitol, I love the Capitol! The effects, etc…

The Bad: It's not that brutal compared to the book. And I think they shot to many scenes and they couldn't put all of them in one movie, that's why the movie is kind of fast forwarded.

I wanted to see more of Rue… sadly we didn't. And what happened to Madge, the daughter of the mayor from district 12, and the backstories? And the parts of Ocatvia, Venia, Flavius especially Cinna? In the book their parts were really specified; how they prep-up Katniss.

The cameras used were kind of shaky too (but it's a very minor thing).

My Brother's Response (My brother hasn't read the book):
“Something's missing. I didn't understand and get the backstory of Katniss's father and I didn't get that her mother was depressed or discouraged.”

My Review: I love it! And I always will! I'd like to watch it again actually. Although I don't know if I will, I'll just buy a CD then!

Gary Ross's add-ons fit the movie perfectly; and the cut parts, it's ok, but it'd be better if they showed more scenes from Seam.

I want more Gale and Katniss on the woods, more Katniss and Madge, and more Katniss and Cinna! As I said earlier I am longing for more Rue and Katniss parts. How Katniss and Rue became so close.

If I could change three things:
1. I'd like to see more parts from Seam.
2. More Rue.
3. More parts on the train and the Capitol. How Katniss was transformed by her prep team.

But when they entered the arena, LOVE! Everything was so intense, exciting and thrilling! How one by one tributes were killed!

The movie all-in-all is AMAZING! The cast! Haymitch is exactly how I pictured him!

The part where the tributes were representing their industries was so EPIC!!! Katniss and Peeta stood out!
“THE GIRL ON FIRE!”

My Rating: 4.00

On my Book Review of The Hunger Games Book One I mentioned that the part I really want to see on the movie was, when Katniss and Peeta's capes were on fire. And I must say I am not disappointed! Although I want to it to be longer...

Amazing! Astonishing! Much Love! The movie
deserves all the good compliments!

Book Review: The Hunger Games

Ah, what a two day adventure has it been with Katniss Everdeen! Although that two days felt like a month! I know it's to late to make a review about The Hunger Games but, better late than never!

The Good: The story is brilliant! I think no one can ever, ever think of the theme of the book.

The Bad: The book is kind of violent because the author clearly described how the contestants died in the story. But it's fine with me!

What I don't like: It isn't that straight-to-the-point. It's what I think. I like to see more of the action and the backstories.

My Rating: 4.5 ½

My Review: I really recommend tHG. Although I don't know if the story is appropriate for the little ones.

The way Suzanne Collins, the author wrote the story is truly amazing! Every paragraph I read, the pictures and scenes inside my head are very clear and genuine; I feel like I'm really in the story and only few writers can do that!

You can feel Katniss's hurts and her feelings. I personally sensed her when she and her family had nothing to eat. When she searched garbage cans to look for food but found none. Ugh, I really felt bad. Good thing Peeta surreptitiously gave her two pieces of slightly overcooked big bread.

Every end of a chapter is a cliffhanger, when you tell yourself, "After this chapter I'll go to bed." I'm sure you'll never get to sleep. Almost all of the genre is on the book, action, adventure, romance, etc...

________________________________________________________________

Action: As I said earlier, the book is kind of brutal with all the killings. But I like it! I like how Suzanne wrote the action parts! I find it hard to explain or write down action parts of a story. But I don't know how the author does it!

Adventure: Obviously, it's the main genre of the book (correct me if I'm wrong.)

Romance: Peeta and Katniss. Everything seemed normal between the two until the time when Peeta confessed that he has a crush on Katniss. That moment changed everything. Peeta protected Katniss in every way he can. Their love for each other is I think the only way for both of them to survive! SPOILER!

This page certainly made me giddy!

I've said enough! For those who have not read the book I'm sorry for spoiling!

Once again I really recommend the Hunger Games, it's really nice for those people who's type of genre is adventure/romance.

The Movie:

I must say I'm kind of disappointed with the casting of Cinna, although Haymitch, Effie and Katniss, they're almost what I expected; especially Haymitch! But who cares with their minor mistake!

I can't wait for the movie! What I want to see is the part when Peeta and Katniss were wearing black suits and their capes on fire!
Can you see the blue fire Cinna's holding?

HAPPY HUNGER GAMES!

Question:

What do you want to see in the movie?
