Book Review: The Land of Stories

---
The Land of Stories tells the tale of twins Alex and Conner. Through the mysterious powers of a cherished book of stories, they leave their world behind and find themselves in a foreign land full of wonder and magic where they come face-to-face with the fairy tale characters they grew up reading about.

But after a series of encounters with witches, wolves, goblins, and trolls alike, getting back home is going to be harder than they thought.

The Land of Stories Book Review
The Good: I can say that the book is perfect for kids, and adults! Yup, I said adults!

The Bad: It needs a little editing, but because the story is very, very interesting it didn't matter! The story itself captivated me so much that I didn't bother! At all!

Full Review: First of, I would like to discuss what I personally think is the most important element of a book besides a wonderful story, and it is how the characters are described. I have to say that I am really, really impressed.

The characters (same as the places) were imaged to me Perfectly (!) they weren't under-described, but not also over-described; and I just love it!

The Land of Stories is one of the bestif not greatbooks I have ever read. And it's because the book has everything a children's book needs to have: action, adventure, romance, moral lessons and dramathe heartening parts will surely touch one's soul; I don't know about you but I was touched, dearly.

The Land of Stories also has the right amount a fantasy/adventure novel should have, which are: suspense (it has a lot, and I adore the author for thathumor (the book has a lot of laugh-out-loud moments/scenes which I really, really like) heartwarming moments, and a lot more!

The author's aftermath for every well-known fairy-tale character is very, very well thought. If he thought of it, himself, I can say that he must have been—or isvery addicted to fairy-tales (addicted: in a decent way, of course).

If there are unquestioned things in your mind, and want to see their pasts—or maybe you want to know what happened to: Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Frog Prince, Snow White's Stepmother aka Evil Queen, Goldilocks, Red Riding Hood, Jack (Jack from Jack and The Beanstalk), Big Bad Wolf, and the other fairy-tale characters whom we have grown with, and loved; you might want to check the book out!

The Ending: While I was reading and was nearing to the end, I was so thrilled to know to what will happen when I turn to the next page, when I turned to the last page I knew that there might be book two—there has to be a sequel, it just needs to have one!

My Rating:
4.7 ( 7⁄10)

Page 39 - 41 are the pages that made my eyes misty . . . okay, not just misty.

The world will always choose convenience over reality. It is easier to hate, blame than it is to understand. No one wants the truth; they want entertainment.

It's a pleasure of mine to be doing this review.

    1. Woah! Really? In Canada? Maybe it's because Chris Colfer haven't toured there, yet...

  2. I'm an adult and I loved the book, but agree w/ you about the editing. Also, there is a sequel. Colfer has already started writing it.
